TK Maxx have a gingerbread house set with cutters I believe - under a tenner. No ingredients included0

I cant cook to save my life. If all else fails dont sweat making it yourself. Waitrose do a fab one for about a tenner.0

I bought the Aldi one and even with the cocktail sticks holding it together, it still collapsed. My other problem was finding a box to keep it in for it to stay fresh. I'm not gonna bother this year, will just make do with cookies.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0

I have bought the Ikea kit for several years. The first year it fell apart after following instructions and using a sugar solution to stick together. Since then I have just used icing at a piping consistancy to stick it together and all has been well! Got 2 more kits again this year - they were on offer at £2.25 each or 2 kits for £3.50.:j0

Do ikea have the kits definately in now?
Might have to venture to ikea this weekend now if they do
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
I have never attempted a gingerbread house, but had to reply. Every year without fail, my kids great aunt and uncle make a ginger bread house for each set of kids in the (large) family. You can easily see that a lot of time, effort and detail goes into them. And my kids spend far more time oohing and aahing over the gingerbread house than anything else they get over xmas. They love them! And they're different every year. I think it's just icing they use to "glue" it all together. but, decorate with sweets, buttons or something similar as roof shingles etc, and always a little gingerbread man inside.

So, maybe time consuming. But if you can get the hang of them, a worthwhile gift. and a beautiful table decoration! (not tha it lasts long enough to decorate anything in a house with 3 boys!):rotfl:Unfortunately,
MONEY makes the world go round.
Bah Humbug!!!!
