Gingerbread houses

Hello all,
Just wondering if any of you make a gingerbread house at all?
I've made one in the past but the house was ready made and just needed ticking together. I'd like to make one from scratch this year, so looking for any tips/good recipes but also a set of cutters/gingerbread house kit that people can recommend:j

I made one last year & never again !!The roof broke as soon as i picked it up !! I burnt my fingers sticking it together with the melted sugar and left it overnight. When i got up the next morning it had major structural damage and had collapsed !
As you can see it turned out bad, in fact my dd called it " The Gingerbread Ghetto "

Oops ! pics come on twice lol0 -

I had to laugh when I read this. Reminds me of when I made a train cake for DS nearly 30 years ago & as we were singing 'Happy Birthday' it fell off the rails made from liquorice strips.
I have bought a kit from Lidl to make a gingerbread house for my grandsons. You make only have to stick it together but I'm sure mine's going to look more like a tumbledown shack than a house.0 -
That was a kit from Ikea or Aldi lol0
