XBox 4gb or 250gb

Options
Is there really a massive difference in the above, I know there is regarding price and just wondering if it would be better to get my son the 4gb which would then mean we could also get the kinnect with it.
Any help on this?
Thanks

I had an original 360 and had the 20Gb drive and after 3 years had only used about 3gb (only used for saving games)

i just bought a new slim 360 with the 4gb internal drive figuring that by the time i need a larger drive they will be cheaper to buy seperatley

If the user is planning on downloading games and videos to the drive for storage and future use then i would guess you will need the 250gb. It all depends on if you 'can/want' to pay the extra.

its a great buy either way specially all the online gaming fun.

kinetix looks good too so if i were in your situation i would get the 4gb and the kinetix then in 6 months or a year if you need to, buy a drive and stick it in. ( its a simple slide in arrangement)

the hard disks at the moment are about £80 but they wil come down after about a year and there will be pleanty of 2nd hand ones to get.

there is also the option of getting a PC harddisk in there but its not reccomended if you dont like taking things apart!!!!!!! but it will be cheaper just keep your eyes out for proper mods to allow it

I own 150+ Xbox 360 games (I had an obsession with buying pre-owned games for a while...) Anwyay I have a 20GB HDD on my Xbox and I only use 13GB. I have pretty much every single one of my games saved onto it. I have also downloaded a few online ones and saved a couple of my games to the HDD. So I wouldn't advise getting a huge HDD unless you want loads of films and music, etc. as well as games.
  • I would say if you can stretch to a 20gb drive and kinetic (or whatever they call it) then you should :)

Only because 4gb wont be big enough to install 1 game on (quicker loading and less wear on the disks) whereas 20gb he will have enough room for 2 or 3 fave games, plus downloaded games and add-ons etc :)

    Just my 2p's worth:beer:
  • 4 gig should be enough i go the arcade one with 256mb on !!! that is small !!!

but xbox released an update this year - that allows you to use an external drive up to 16gb - so in theory you could get the 4gb and add another 16gb - making it 20 in all :)

(I have the kinect and am running it easily with 256mb on board and 2gb extrnal flash key thingy!)
