Littlewoods catalogue are rubbish !!!!!

Right i have been waiting for ages fo the the Kinect for xbox360 to come out so i thought i know i'll pre order it from littlewoods. Well to me pre order usually means something along the lines of reserve your item so you get it around the time that it come out right ?. Well i pre ordered it and it came out last wednesday ( 10th Novemeber 2010 ) so expected my order status to have changed to dispatched by now right ?. Well no it hasnt so i contacted them only to be told that i may not receive my item until 8th December 2010. How is this right ? what was the point in pre ordering it ? I definately wont be using them again in a hurry !!!!!
