What is the prognosis with the rates in the next few months? The rate I was offered now 3.49% needs to be booked now till the 1st december, however my current deal doesnt exprire till March. Not sure whether i should wait out or book now?0 -
General concensus is the bank of england base rate will ramain the same for at least a year.....who knows though?0

No point repaying my residential mortgage at 1.24% when I could save at 6.4% after tax.
My BTL mortgage is BofE +0.89%.

Totally agree.
Though the number of mortgage holders on lifetime rates are only a small % of total mortgages outstanding.
New borrowers are subsidising people like us......0 -
