Thanks for your contribution guys, keep coming with those rates :)

What is the prognosis with the rates in the next few months? The rate I was offered now 3.49% needs to be booked now till the 1st december, however my current deal doesnt exprire till March. Not sure whether i should wait out or book now?
  • General concensus is the bank of england base rate will ramain the same for at least a year.....who knows though?
  • After today's inflation figure, it could change next month...though it probably won't.

The greatest danger is complancey. In that people will become accustomed to these low rates. Now has never been a better time to repay debt.

    Or
...Now has ever been a better time to save some money.

No point repaying my residential mortgage at 1.24% when I could save at 6.4% after tax.

My BTL mortgage is BofE +0.89%.

    Both lifetime trackers.

    Totally agree.
