Thanks for that did check them out. I have been told there is a way using the IMEI but not told how! anyone know please?

The unlock code for your phone will be specific to it. There is no generic code that will do the job. You will almost certainly have to pay to get it by sending off the IMEI number to a unlocking service who, using a software tool, will generate an unlock code and either email or text it back to you.
