Last lot of price increases - confused whether to switch?!?

I am looking to swap utility providers from my existing supplier of British Gas on Click 4 for dual fuel. I pay £30 gas and £21 electric each month.

The various comparison websites are saying Npower and Scottish power are the cheapest deal for me with a saving of about £100.

My concern is that it doesnt look like either Npower or Scottish Power have put up their prices since March 2010, so if I switch, I've could end up paying more than what British Gas have just announced.

Am I right or just confused with how this all works?

Thanks

I am with Scottish Power and they have set a fixed cheap online DD for me, so I'm OK for a few months hopefully.

It looks like all the big providers are going to hike the prices, it's just a matter of when and by how much.

You've hit the nail on the head with how it works, maybe look into a better online tariff at BG until the other providers show their cards? The onlinesaver3 i THINK is cheaper than the click tariffs and has no cancellation fees should you choose to jump ship at any point.
