Long weekend away...

I'm just looking to use up the last few days holiday before the end of the year and am looking for a long weekend somewhere warm. Looking round i can get cheap flights to Lanzarote and the idea of guaranteed warm(ish) weather is appealing but obviously the flight is quite long for a weekend away.
I would be getting a flight out at 8:50am on friday which arrives in 1:10pm and the return would be on monday at 1:45pm and lands back here at 6:10pm
Do people think its too far to go for such a short period of time? The other option would be the Costa Brava which is cheaper and a much shorter flight but with less chance of good weather.

I've made my own mind up that 5 hours each way plus check-in and transfer IS too much for a long weekend!

Done Majorca loads of times for a long weekend ,normally try and get a flight first thing going and late on coming back
And if you pick somewhere close to the airport its so much betterHave a nice day

I would go to Lanzarote. It's not just the temperature difference, but you get around two hours extra daylight in the evening at this time of year.0
