Argos - 4weeks & counting

I have been trying to get Argos / Home Delivery Network to collect an item I wish to return for over four weeks. Six weeks ago, the original order failed and I received a full refund. The following day they attempted to deliver the order which I refused, as I had been refunded. The week after they delivered the item and left it with a neighbour.
I have had 3 failed Saturday collections, several unscheduled collections and yet another failed collection today, despite agreeing I could would the parcel outside my front door.
I have made over 20 phonecalls, all on premium numbers to Argos and DHL and no-one seems able to resolve the issue. Unfortunately the item is too large for my rubbish collection as I'm tempted to trash it.
Any suggestions?

Keep it and forget about it - they obviously aren't that bothered if they arent collecting it, and they delivered it to you after they had refunded you!0

Don't call premium numbers, go to 'Say No to 0870 dot com' and get the equivalent landline number. The landline for Argos head office in Milton Keynes is 01908690333Blessed are the cracked, for it is they who let in the light...:A0

if you give your local store a call to check whether they have storage space for it (didnt say what the item was so dont know size) can take it there and argos direct can collect it from store - saves you keep chasing them up0
