  • I've no idea what the basis of the court summons is tbh, I'm guessing negligence because it's been 58 weeks and 3 days since my rent went up and they've managed to 'lose' 36 documents. Like I've said before I've been very easily confused and am having memory problems due to my mental condition. All I'm seeking is the rent increase backdated from 9th October 2009, interest and costs. Tbh I'm hoping it doesn't go to court as I'm not comfortable with the world and his wife knowing about my mental health issues. I could probably claim for some sort of compensation for the extra stress I've had at a time in my life when I'm having severe stress and anxiety issues but all I really want is my rent increase sorted. Thanks for the link, I'll check that out and get my friend to write them a letter to see if it helps matters.

You have to apply for legal aid before starting litigation and in todays climate the chances of getting it for this case are very slim indeed.

If you have house insurance it often covers legal serivces, have a look it and it may solve this problem.
  • Nope, haven't got any kind of insurance unfortunately. I guess I'll just have to hope that Haringey Council will settle before it goes to court. I also got my dates wrong...it's only 57 weeks and 3 days lol.
  • i think id have gone here before a solicitor tbh:
