Fake uggs

Options
My boyfriend recently bought some bailey button uggs for me off ebay.
Having recieved them I could obviously see they were fake. He contacted the seller, however, she has still not responded. What should he do next?
Can he definetely reclaim his money back?

It is the ebay board and there are some very knowledgeable peeps on it.

My tuppence worth, never by uggs from ebay. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but having had a nosy through the ugg listings on ebay most of them are selling fakes.

    Hope you get it sorted.

  • Whenever I have received fakes off ebay I always send a friendly e-mail saying something like this..

I received the ugg boots today and was very disappointed to see they are fake ugg australia boots. As the sale of counterfit items is illegal and forbidden by ebay I will be requiring a full refund. If you would like me to send them back, please let me know the address to send to and also credit the cost of the return p&p.

I usually get a prompt e-mail back apologising, saying they thought they were genuine and agreeing to a full refund, I send the item back and get refunded for the return p&p. I always go through topcashback when buying off ebay so I usually profit slightly from the situation :)

As you have already send them one e-mail, I would email again reminding them that the sale of counterfits is illegal and forbidden by ebay and you want a full refund and that if you do not receive a response within the next 48 hours you will be forced to resolve the issue through ebays dispute centre.

Once everything is is sorted I leave neutral or negative feedback stating that a fake was received and how it was resolved, depending on how helpful the seller was in resolving. I feel it is important to do this to warn future buyers that they sell fakes.

Hope you get it sorted :D
