how many credit searches are you allowed on your file before they start looking like your a little desperate as they say?

That will all depends on each potential lenders criteria when they look at your file, but I would say that 2 to 3 every 6 months would be considered as appropriate0

i have 7 searches on equifax in the last 12 months but 3 in the last 6 months,do you think i should apply for something else or call it a day and wait a few more months0

How many of the recent 3 were you accepted for? And were the limits 'good'?
Is it the end of the world if you're declined and have to wait another 3-6 months?

i owe 4k salary 22k,no missed payments no defaults or anything like that,last card i was turned down for was bank of ireland gold card which only found out tonight as i phoned them
i have a capital one card with 5k limit,with 3k balance,just wondered would those 3 searches in the last 6 months blown my chances for a while0 -
