After sales access code to re-program BSI on Citroen C4 Picasso
Hello
My husband is repairing a CAT D car - Citroen C4 Grande Picasso. We are almost there and have had car at a garage who have all the diagnostic gear (including Citroen). Our mechanic has Peugeot Planet which he said is compatible with Citroen. He is re-programming the BSI and is 70% there. He has come up against brick wall. Software asking for a 5 digit after sales access code. We hhave a 4 digit one which we obtained from Citroen for £15 to re-program the key but apparently it isn't that one. Even Citroen don't seem to know. It has been £10k, 18 months and a lot of stress and heartache. I would never ever do this again but we need to finish this project.
Is there anyone out there who can help a poor demented family and point us in the right direction?
I will love you forever!!!!

What is BSI?
I have a Zara Picasso and had to get a new key fob as my son snapped it in the door - cost me £99 for key and £14 to reprogram the code, which was done at my local Citroen branch (Glasgow).
If it is your radio the code is on a card (a bit like a credit card) inside the owner manual pouch.0 -
My only suggestion is to try on another forum I frequent - http://www.406oc.co.uk/
It's a peugeot 406 forum, but there are a few people there who know about BSI's and Peugeot Planet who may be able to offer some advice.
However, I warn you, 90% of all post about the BSI usually result in people saying "Dont touch it! It's not worth the heartache!":p
Hope they can help!0 -

Hi. Thank you for that. Will give it a go. When you say don't touch the BSI, do you mean just buy a new one? We replaced Engine ECU and then fault with BSI appeared. Mechanic sent it off to be virginised (think that's the term!) and now re-programming.

Hi
My husband has just rung our local Citroen dealer and they have given us that code too. So it's a code for software and not our car specific which is what we had been led to believe.
It's Peugeot Planet though so would code be the same? Also would each garage have it's own code or is that just generic? You wonder why it's a code you have to input if everyone knows what it is!
I'm so stressed about it all. Just need to wrap this up.
thanks so much for help.:beer:0 -

Thanks moaninggit so much. That's fantastic. Hubby took code to mechanic this morning but he said he didn't think that was it. From what I've read, it can't be anything else. Will let you know how we go.
Going back down there tomorrow with the print out from C4 owners.
Thank you, thank you.:beer:0
