'In Transit' insurance

I have a lifetime guarantee on my wife's wedding ring which I bought from the USA several years ago. I now need to send it back to be repaired but can't find any couriers who will insure an item for more than £500.
I have the ring insured under my contents insurance but unless we are traveling with the ring they won't cover it either.
Does anyone know
a) A courier that will insure it fully including during transit. Or..
b)An insurance company that will insure it for the duration of it's trip.
