I'm going to work in holland for 5 months. Can somebody advice me what's the best card to use there without attracting much charges. Also if i get my salary paid to U,K bank or better have some euro account there?

No point in having euro account. Use halifax clarity for transactions and then use your salary to pay it off via internet banking. If you are out with friends, offer to pay with credit card and take cash from then, then you can avoid cash withdrawal fee.0
