Hi, hope someone can help
I read on one thread about someone making a "night in hamper" ie dvd, popcorn ect and thought it was a great idea.
I have searched the christmas tread from top to bottom, but can not find it - can someone point me in the right direction, or can anyone suggest what else i can put in.
Many thanks
Di

You can order them at our local choices store but the website is www.moviehampers.com .The scene stealer is from £29.99 and you can choose from a selection of dvds.
Might be easier to make one ytourself if the title you want is not there.0 -
Hi,
I've only just registered so don't know anything about a previous thread on this, but I did make up some 'Girls Night In' hampers for my friends last Xmas. I did six of them so was able to buy things in multiples.....here's some of the things I put in:
*Face Masks
*Hair Band (for use with face mask)
*Manicure sets
*mini bubble baths
*Mini pringles
*Popcorn
*chocolates (lots of!)
*fluffy warm cosy socks
*candles
*Girly films (Dirty Dancing; Ghost; Footloose etc...you'll probably find that friends might have these already on video, but might not have the dvd version - only paid a couple of quid each for these from Amazon)
*Miniature bottles of wine and/or baileys minis
*Hot chocolate sachets + mug + marshmallows
I then bought some wicker baskets from Ikea (£1 each) and piled everything into these. Wrapped in celophane.
All my friends loved them!
Hope this helps.

The only night in hamper I can find mentioned is on the OS Christmas Support thread, is this what you were looking for???mookybargirl wrote:WOO HOO!
I've read this whole thread - only took my 3 days - lol
Anyway, I've never really started before November but due to house move, need to be organised as have very tight budget.
I've stolen lots of ideas including the toffee vodka and hm bath salts for impossible step mum, potting some bulbs for Dad in a nice big plant pot - not sure which bulbs yet, it'll be nice will be nice suprise for him when they grow.
Mum, step dad, brother and 2 sisters are getting little hampers. Already visted charity shop and poundland to get started, have the baskets, scrunchies (sponge for brother), some aromatherapy bubble bath, a lovely bauble for the tree for mum saying "to a special mum" - found that in the post office shop of all places. What a great keep sake. I hope in years to come, it'll be on the tree as something that I bought her for christmas and have made a list of other things to add to the hampers.
A "movie night hamper" for my friends who have 2 kids as it'll be a bit of a family thing. Will include a bottle of beer and a smirnoff ice for them as well as sweets, popcorn etc.
OH, jar of promises and working on what else...
Haven't made/bought everything yet, but have my spreadsheet sorted so I know what I now need.
After reading this fantastic thread, I feel like I'm really in control. I make all of my own cards so feel inspired now to get started early on these this year.
Thanks everyone for your great ideas.
PS - Must remember I'm on page 51, as great as it was, I don't want to start reading everything again!0 -
I know the post you mean, although I can't find it either?
If for a couple I'd suggest a DVD, packet of popcorn & a bottle of wine.
For kids/teenages I'd say a DVD, bottle of coke & a packet of sweets (although popcorn is healthier)
For a home alone night for a girl I'd say mushy DVD, chocs & small bottle of Baileys or similar
For a bloke I'd say action DVD, beer & peanuts.
For older teenagers I'd say horror film, bottle of cider & a packet of condoms!Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
Thanks for all your suggestions, think now i have plenty of ideas for my Night in Hamper, its for my neighbours son, and his girlfriend. Thanks again DiHoping that when I start looking after the pennies, and the pounds will take care of them selves :j0

I'm doing mine as little mini luxury hampers for the ladies
I'm altering a couple of them to be "for couples" for romatic evenings in
One is being re-done a little as a "first aid" hamper as one of my friends works for the ambulance service dispatch and often has some odd shifts so I think she'll appreciate the twistDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
