Need a CHEAP but CLEAN room in Welwyn Garden City

I'm working in Welwyn Garden City and need a room in a B&B or hotel for the 1st and 2nd December. I can't be more than a 15 minute drive away in rush hour. On a serious budget of £30 MAX per night. Just want somewhere clean, safe and pleasant for a woman travelling alone.

I've tried the Travel Lodge site which is my usual first call but would welcome any advice or local knowledge !

no sorry I have not, my OH's family are from there and he told me where to look for stuff - I think that for your budget you are just going to have to take the nicest one you can get

I've stayed at the Premier Inn at Welwyn GC but those dates it is coming up at £70 a night without breakie.

Maybe there are discounts or offers around but I doubt the price could be squeezed that much.
