Another school of thought is, if you don't complain to your MP about serious problems with the benefits sytem - they will think its ticking alone smoothly, running without any problems. They can only get things fixed, if people tell them what is wrong.
I appreciate what you are saying, but to be honest I have more to think about and worry about in my life than getting involved in a campaign protesting about something that you know will never change - you know it, I know it and certainly the vast majority of MP's - from all sides - all know it!!0 -
Just had to send my ESA50 in today, postage is free but i still paid for it to be tracked, last year i was fobbed off with 'oh it was the postal strike that's why we haven't got it'
Amazing considering someone else was sat on it and didn't bother logging it onto the system.
You may have to pay for the postage, but at least you know where it is.
Another bit of advise i am sure to be shot down for saying..
photocopy everything before you send anything
Hmmm didn't someone say not to even trust special deliver was right.
Today my forms should of been in, track and trace can't see them, royal mail say it is still in the delivery office, dwp have not got them, but have put on the system that i have called, woman said i will not be sanctioned yet.......
so another set of forms will be sent to me.
I do have a photocopy but she said i have to write it out again, and not to take it to the nearest job centre as their internal post is just as bad at loosing stuff as royal mail.

Yes i did a track and trace on a special delivery.
Tuesday last week there was no information when I checked on line, so I thought ok it will show by Wednesday that ATOS has received it.
Alas..
Special Delivery™ Next Day items are first tracked when they have reached our mail centre. This may be late in the evening on the day the item was sent.
Information on your item is not yet available online.
This is the message from the Royal mail website, this has been the same message since Wednesday of last week.
According to the lad from Royal mail customer services it is still at the delivery centre.0 -

get them to raise it through the CLEO to the DOM (delivery office manager)
theres no real reason an SD would be held at the DO for a recipient like ATOS0 -

A complaint has been made today via email.
Aparently they take 3 days to read and answer these complaint emails.
Been given a reference number with it too, but Wednesday i will do what you have said.
The envelope is the one ATOS give you and it is free post, I just added on the special delivery to it to ensure it got there in time ...0 -
When I had to put in a DLA reassessment form, they told me it takes them two weeks to 'open the envelopes' lol. I'm sure its the same with other benefit offices. I know for sure that pieces of paper get lost more often and take longer to process than they did even two years ago. Goodness knows what is going to happen with even more cut backs.
And personally, I like it that an MP was good enough to respond that quickly to an email from a constituent. And get a situation that was wrong corrected. Wish it happened more.0 -

That's what MP's are paid for, to work for and to represent the constituents. Using their services is your right as a British Citizen and if the only way to get agencies to do their job properly is to involve an MP, then so be it. Pro-action gets results, sitting waiting for justice to happen is rarely fruitful.0
