Have I cleaned the virus?

Following on from a post I made in the "Vista spyware" thread, I am concerned that I have not been able to completely clean the virus off my laptop and thought I'd ask the experts here for your thoughts.
Are you sure it is just spyware? I picked up a virus at the weekend. Just on CNETs website (very much doubt it originated from there) and XP antispyware 2011 downloaded itself. I followed the method 1 on this http://www.myantispyware.com/2010/11...imalware-2011/ it disabled most of it and malwarebytes removed what was disabled but it still left false alarms. So I used method 2, ran malwarebytes on a full scan and it finally removed it all (I think).

I ask because this latest version blocks you from opening any programs and connecting to the internet and it seemed to be able to prevent me from booting in safe mode, it was just hanging.

Since then I have been having a lot of "just-in-time" script debugging issues and was wondering if it was possible that this was to do with the virus?

Not at home so haven't got the laptop to hand.

If you run all of Malwarebytes' Antimalware, SuperAntiSpyware and HitMan Pro 3.5 one after the other, and nothing is found, then you should be pretty certain that you are (known!) virus-free...

Thanks to you both. Have disabled script debugging on I.E. and this has reduced the amount of just in time pop ups but still getting some, so must be scripts from other programs?

Will try the other antimalware programs suggested too.

    Thanks again.

Theres a very good chance your still infected

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
If you get a message that you cant write to the hosts file then Press the SHIFT key, and whilst holding it RIGHT CLICK and select RUN AS (admin)

    ....................................................................

    Please run COMBOFIX
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
    Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out

If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
(If no log comes up or you lose it, COMBOFIX.TXT can be found in C drive)

Ran this but the log did not come up. I couldn't find the TXT file on the hard drive and even ran a search for it but no file. Would it be in a folder somewhere?

    Thanks
