Is it a car or a plane??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -

It has now had a "proper" Experian hpi
With regards to the "working on for a year" thing, it doesn't show previous keeper's change date as it won't have technically changed yet if it was traded to motor trade (the yellow slip) so it is hard to tell. However, there was a "consumer" check on the car in april and may of 09, then trade checks in july 09, followed by april, june and october of this year so my "best guess" is that it was either taken back in px sometime this year, probably between july and october. But that is a guess!I dunno, the MiL's crappy renault grand espace has kept the local garage stumped for nearly 4 years
That's probably because there's nothing actually "wrong" with it, it's just a Renault

I've gone back and have more details. Seat confirmed that the service history does not add up. It's been on the garage forecourt for 8 months awaiting the fixing of a large head on smash also confirmed by Seat and was taken back out this week. After I left they couldn't restart it and couldn't bump it. I didn't name any names so wasn't expecting anyone to form a vigilante group and storm the place for me, just asking advice0

What's the mileage on it? And TBH all SEAT can tell you is whether a SEAT dealer on their system has serviced it - if it's been done by an independant then there wont be a log of it.
It's also slightly worrying that a major head on hasn't had an insurance claim on it - it's not like some sort of small prang that people will sort outside of the insurance companies. How did SEAT know of the accident?
You've got to be sure that SEAT isn't also trying to stitch the trader up lol!0
