Wish I hadn't wasted a fiver!!
Because I've complained about something they seemed to of completely forgot about me:(
I wont be renewing and will treat baby to something with my £5 instead;)BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
My son had a pink sippy cup to test and some dummies. I'd not have spent £5 on sourcing those items myself! Also took three months to send a review form for the dummies, I knew what I thought of them after 10 mins, what can you even say about dummies? I didnt renew. Pap company IMO. Poor organisation and couldnt run the proverbial knees up in a brewery.Mummy to

Loads of us from the Pregnancy Club/Parent Thread joined ages ago and to be honest I think there is probably a 50/50 split as to those who are happy with it and those who think it was a waste of money.
I got a BF dress, worth £40 that I still wear; 2 bars of personalised chocolate (which was crap but BB still advertise them); a remote controlled helicopter worth £30 which was fab; a childrens magazine worth £4.50 which again went down a treat.
Then I renewed my membership and received the new Scrabble Trickster board game worth £19.99
So we have done really well but most of the things I have reviewed have been for my 10 year old DSS. I did turn away one product because it didn't suit my/my baby's lifestyle (:p) but they were very good about it.
Having said all that, their organisation and administration is shocking - they could really do with improving their systems massively.
As skellet said - it could be well worth an investment of a fiver, what is the worst that can happen?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
I joined over a year ago, after a month or so I was sent a fabric envelope, no joke, a fabric envelope to put nappies in! I thought perhaps they were sending me a cheap item to see how I reviewed it to decide wether I should be sent a beter quality item.
Nine months later (11 months into my 12 month membership) and alot of chasing to see why I hadn't been sent another item I was sent some bright yellow cheap fabric baby sandals, in the middle of winter!
You get what you pay for with this company, they must have hundreds if not thousands of people paying them for items they couldn't give away and a select few get some lovely items to test.
I won't be renewing my membership because being very MSE I know for that £5 I could get alot more for my money. It is like a lucky dip.Comping wishlist for 2017

I joined nearly a year ago now and all I've ever received is a bottle of kitchen cleaning spray - certainly not worth a fiver! I shall not be renewing my membership either.0

Signed up last year and will not be renewing this year.
I had http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-local/frameset/detail/964587_Organic_Bloom_Moisturising_Orange_Flower_Body_Lotion_200ml.html to test first, and then.... Nothing.
I complained and was supposed to receive a http://www.houseofbath.co.uk/shop/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=1583&pdLpUid=CZ543#colour:,size: to test. It never arrived.
I was also supposed to receive some nappies to test (Huggies) which also never arrived when they were supposed to. They sent me 3 emails asking for what size nappies I would need and ... nothing.
I cancelled my membership and asked them not to send me anything else. Two weeks after cancelling the Huggies arrived. 3 sizes too big.
I will be spending the £5 I've saved on something better for my boy this year.:jHappily Married 12/09/09:j:jDS1 born 22/08/10 7lb 6oz:j

I think it's all a bit random, and they aren't exactly well organised (I get the impression it's perhaps grown a bit bigger than they can cope with), but I personally paid £5, in the knowledge that I would get asked to test a minimum of £5 worth of stuff. It was obvious to me that I might be asked to test something I would never have bought. It might be only £5 worth, or it might be something worth several hundred pounds (although I always thought if I got something expensive it would be a nice bonus as I am sure the numbers of bigger items are small). Either way, it's a chance you take. It's only £5 a year!
I have had a Taggie Doll worth £10-15 and a pack of 2 velour sleepsuits from La Redoute which I thought were rubbish. I wouldn't have bought either, and I would rather have had a highchair, new pushchair etc but I definitely got a minimum of £5 worth and am satisfied that I got what I signed up for.
You don't really get much for nothing in this life, so it's up to you if you want to take your chance.0 -
But 1 of the 50 or so people we 'know' who joined in the last 18 months has had a buggy, another got an expensive highchair - so they are pretty good odds really.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120

I think it's like you say, it's luck of the draw really, I have recieved items totaling about £35 no biggys, but I quite like the idea of the "surprises" lol.
I do however think it takes quite a while for the review process and I admit some items are probably quite difficult to review, however they do make it clear that your paying to "review" and submit your thoughts about the ideas and it's not just specifically to get X amount of freebies.
I'd say if you don't like the idea of writing about items that you may have to be "creative" about then it's probably not for you0 -
Thanks I've given this a go, paid up last night so we'll see. Not heard anything about them receiving payment yet.
I figure, with our first child on their way in April, worth a shot and all in good funNot too worried if I don't get anything major but if they do fancy sending me a free highchair etc I'll not complain lol.
