in Credit cards
I wonder if someone can help me find out more information.
I went to my bank today to sort out something unrelated and they tried and sell me a credit card (as they always do). I always refuse.
Now, today the guy said that I shouldn't be using my (VISA) debitcard to make online purchases. So he could send me a credit card. I said no and he said he would have to write on my account that the debit card was not to be used for online purchases, implying that I would not be protected in case of fraud.
I thought this was appaling!!
is it real? or Was he just trying anything to get me to say yes?
I still stuck to my guns as I am trying to get rid of some debts and if I say yes to a credit card I know myself I will spend spend spend....

The banking code protects you from fraud online (regardless of using a credit or debit card) as long as you have not been negligent with your card details0
