Genuine VW parts

I don't think they do. When I bought my current car the dealer made a point of emphasising that, in the event of an accident, I should use their approved claims management service because that was the only way I could be sure that genuine parts were used for repairs.
Of course, as he had a vested interest, he could have been talking hogwash.0 -
They always have to use genuine on Insurance jobs0

No they don't, they can use copy parts, re-manufactured, or even second hand, if it's in your policy, and it's your insurance company. The third party can unless you have a good reason why they can't, so long as they are equal in quality to the original, or if you don't catch them.
Insist on a main dealer repair, it will give you a better chance.0 -
some do some dont, you can insist on a dealer bodyshop the only thing thats different is you normally lose the right to have a courtesy car of insurance.0

Why not have it repaired at a VW/VW approved body shop?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
