Special Editions?0

I'd assume special edition. Normally a few extras thrown in on the car when new at little or sometimes no extra cost. Most often occurs when the model is being replaced, and it is done to make it more attractive to the buyer than waiting for the new model.0

Very often special editions are actually the base model with a few extras (normally sunroof and stereo) from a better model to make them attractive to the first buyer. They rarely have any greater value in the secondhand market unless they are true specials - like the Monaco Renaults.0

What car is it for?0

Toyota Yaris TR, 08, 1.3 petrol. Garage seemed to agree, it's ltd edition but there doesn't appear to be anything ltd about it. Anyway I've bought it, traded my 53, 1.6vvt Megane in for £2100 and paid £4300 on top. Quite pleased! Thanks for your replies.0

This is what Toyota say.
Toyota has revealed a special-edition Yaris, called TR.
Available with either a 1.3-litre petrol or a 1.4-litre diesel engine, the Yaris TR is based on T3 models.
That means you get seven airbags, a CD changer and air-conditioning, but TR models cost £500 less and come with extra styling touches such as 15-inch alloy wheels, front foglamps and silver door handles.0
