would you list on ebay at this of morning ?

Would you list on ebay now (10.30am) or wait until this evening after 9pm ? Items would be set to sell worldwide.

Got stuff to list, it will sell but wondering whether to list now or wait. Fingers crossed for another free list weekend as well.

A lot of my items don't follow a standard selling pattern, I tend to attract bids early (sometimes within minitues of listing) and they often go on first or second bid. Therefore I list at all times on the items that I expect to follow that pattern.

Foritems that I need some bidding frenzy to build up, so unusual or collectable items i tend to wait until around 8pm at night.

Around 75% on average of my goods go overseas so it is bound to be night somewhere.

  • A lot of people sit on eBay while they are at work on a monday morning looking for deals to make their day tollerable. There is usally a free listing day every month and normally on a weekend, I get emails off eBay letting me know about them in advance. I always forget about them though so I still have boxes of old things to sell in the spare room...

Just thought I'd made a successful one time payment using Paypal to pay my ebay fees.
No email from paypal, nothing shown when logged in to paypal and nothing showing on ebay seller account.

Does it take couple of hours to show or should it be instant ?

It's usually instant, though I don't tend to check.

As for item start times, I think it's usually better to end items during the evening to catch the UK market first and foremost. If you have more of the same items, you can stagger the start times a bit to make sure you get the overseas market - items ending later will catch the US prime-time - but most of your buyers are probably going to be in the UK so ending it in the evenings when people have time to sit and watch auctions is usually better.

Buy It Nows can go up any time you like though.

  • At lunch times I usually get a few sales, I suppose people are using their work computers.

I've put 10 on now, figured if they didnt sell in 5 days, can relist or sell similar at the weekend after 9pm for better finish time.
