What airline?
2 hours is always recommended but not always necessary. Depends how risk averse you are.0 -
Domestic and European its supposed to be 2hrs.. but as dzug says take the risk at your peril#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

depending on the airline, the desks can close as late as 45 minutes prior to travel, however be warned because that is when the desk CLOSES. even if you are in the queue but have not reached the front and checked in, you can be refused travel.
as mentined above, 2 hours is reccommended.I used to be a Travel Agent Used to be a travel agent for 23 Years, but now out of the industry. However I will help with what i can.0 -
What airline? Do you have luggage to check? Can you check in online?0

I'd never leave less than 2 hours, depending on your time of travel the queues at check in can be long and security even longer.
The first flights of the day can cause a backlog in security as many flight passengers arrive at the same time. When we flew from Birmingham in August for a 6.30am flight we arrived at 4am and were parked, checked-in and through security in 20mins
However people we met on our flight arrived at 5.30am and just made it onto the flight. We had a leisurely breakfast airside and a very calm start to our trip. 0 -
Can anyone tell me if its ok to queue jump if your flight closure is getting imminent at the airport..I always feel like I have to stand in the queue and wait my turn but really I want to run to the front in case they close my gate... there always seems to be a big melee of people and you can't tell who's waiting for which flight..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
