Best Card for £1000 a month spend

I have searched the threads and done quite a bit of digging, but I am looking at getting a new Credit Card. I currently have the Halifax cash back card and spend on average £1000 a month and pay the balance off in full.

I have seen the Tesco card and a friend of mine thinks this is the best thing since sliced bread.

Anyone get any other good recommendations please?

is that American Express? If so not everywhere take it do they?

The majority of places take it. I find a couple of places a month that don't accept it, but I just use a back up card. You'd be looking at about £10 a month cashback.
