help!! msn keeps cutting out

hi bit of a long shot but wondering if anyone can help me......use msn messenger regularly and the past week or so it keeps cutting out every few mins or so....the person i am talkin to thinks i am still online and i appear to be online from my end too but can see the person typing messages but i am just not recieving them....the only way i can get around it is to sign out and sign back in again which is becomin very annoyin lol

rang sky who sent me a asdl filter thingy but that hasnt made any difference and scanned my netbook for viruses but still no good...


if anyone can pls save me from insanity i wud be really grateful lol

MSN can be a nightmare, so you may never get to the bottom of it. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
If you get a message that you cant write to the hosts file then Press the SHIFT key, and whilst holding it RIGHT CLICK and select RUN AS (admin)

hi thanks for the help but i cant use mt right click button for some reason also so cannot copy and paste anythin lol...took it to a computer shop today and left it there and they ran a test and said i had a trojan virus and need to have it reformatted does that sound at all feasible or are they just tryin to get me to spend money lol any help wud be appreciated x

Do you have the old version? , new is 2011 I was getting the same thing till I updated, They are also doing some hotmail stuff so your emails are not avaliable for about 10 mins.

2011 has some annoying things , Firstly you can have multiple logins, MSN, Browser. FOr some reason if you not logout of the browser all messages sent to you never go to the MSN program. If you go to settings in 2011 once installed and unclick multiple logins, and you wont have any problems, they also removed block, you can set appear offline to everyone but have to appear online to talk to that person.

SHIFT and F10 will be the same as right click

Seeming as your possibly infected, run hijack but first -
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM QUICK SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
If anything was found then do the exact same but run a FULL scan
