I wanna know where to buy gift boxes

Hi

With all the extra points flying round from boots etc I have ended up buying lots of little bits that wouldn't look good as a gift on there own. So...... I have decided to make everyone a little hamper this year of bits and pieces which if given to me I would like. What I would like is gift boxes to put them in so it would look like a little goodies hamper. Can anyone help tell me where to buy gift boxes on the web at a reasonable price? Have looked but can't find anything. Some places want £8.00 postage and I don't think that is really money saving.

Any ideas???

Might be cheaper to buy card/thick paper from the stationers and make your own gift boxes.

Here are some sites with templates for gift boxes; you can print them off, enlarge/reduce/adapt them:-

    Stampington

    Flower box template

    Printable templates at about.com

    Box and Bag templates

    Chest/Heart/Pyramid/Pillow Box Templates (PDF)

Hopefully some of those will inspire you (and save you a few pennies ;) )

i did get a seagrass lidded hamper form poundstretcher for £2.50 they are sold out now in my local branch not surprised i would have paid double at that price!

Mine was a medium sized one.

I have bought smaller gift boxes from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Wrap-Artist
i know she takes commisions it might be worth asking if she could do you the size you require.

hope you find what you are looking for anyway

If you have an IKEA near you & can resist buying anything else theirs are very good value. They do a set of round ones descending in size so they all fit into each other, 12 for £4 IIRC.

    HTH;)

I've seen some nice sets of boxes in varying sizes that fit inside one another.
The largest was around 15-20cm square and the rest were 1/2cm smaller and they all had lids - in the 99p store. Available in gold and silver.

I also saw some lovely packs of wicker baskets in various designs 3 or 4 to a pack depending on which size you want

If I'd seen them before I would've got them but I've already made up my gift packs and wrapped them in clear cellophane bought from ebay on a roll and not that expensive. I've tied them all up with ribbon.

I've also seen offers on gift bags in various cards shops - the bottle type ones were 6 for £1 or thereabouts (Card Factory) and also Poundland have an offer on them too at the moment.

I found some really cheap baskets in The Range last year for gift baskets 4 small and 1 large for 99p. I think they are meant for nuts or something. You can package them in cellophane, tissue paper or cling-film and tie with paper christmas ribbon, got my christmas ribbon reel thing in wilkinsons for quite cheap. Also made little paper boxes out of out greetings cards for jewellery etc to go in.

I know a lot of people avoid Studio but they have a great set of round nesting gift boxes - 10 boxes (largest I'd say about 7" diameter, all the way to earing sized) for £1.59! They have Victoriana Christmas scrapbook design but I've painted over that with acrylic paint very easily for a more adaptable use!

I ended up going for 10 wicker baskets from ebay at a cost of £9.99 delivered. A bit of tissue paper and cellophane will look good. Thanks to all for help.
