Shower pressure dropping

Hi,
We have a Triton electric shower in our bathroom and we are having real problems with it. The water pressure into the house is fine, checked by the water company on Friday, and it comes out of the shower head fine so long as the shower head is at knee height but the minute the shower head is raised up the pressure drops appallingly. The pressure light comes on and the shower goes cold. Sometimes the pressure light flicks on and off and the shower goes from scalding to freezing - not pleasant. We have had the shower for about a year and the problem has got steadily worse. All the stop cocks are open and there is nothing we can do to increase the pressure further. The shower wasn't cheap to install but is miserable:( to use.
Does anyone have any ideas please?

Electric showers should be supplied with mains pressure cold water and nothing else. Your post implies that your installer has taken a supply from the Cold Water Storage Tank in your roofspace as lifting the shower head up and down won't make one iota of difference to the flow rate at the head if its on mains.
Is it an electric shower or a power shower (with a pump)?
If you've only had the shower "about a year" you could reasonably expect the installer to come back (at his cost) and fix it. That is of course expecting that he gave you a warranty on his workmanship. Did he supply the shower too? In which case you have him all ways up if its a faulty shower rather than poor workmanship.
HTH
Cheers

Hi,
Thanks for reply. According to my husband it comes off the mains and is a normal electric shower not a power shower.
I'm going to try and look out the bill and see exactly when we had it installed. The plumber supplied and installed the shower so I will contact him when i find it.
Thanks
