Ex-directory numbers and Orange?

Swopped from BT to Orange back in September - no problems.

However when we were with BT we had an ex-directory, number withheld number but it looks like this isn't the case now.

Not so bothered about ex-directory but can anyone tell me a way of withholding the number ?

Using a 141 prefix will withhold your CLI on a 'per call' basis but Orange should be able to offer you a permanent CLI withheld facility if you ask for it.

If they can, you can then use a 1470 prefix to send your CLI on a 'per call' basis.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
