AOL 9 and Windows XP - Problems Solved Yet

Have AOL solved the problems people were having with AOL 9 when using Windows XP home edition?
I installed AOL 9 on my 2 computers when it first came out and it worked fine with Windows 98SE but I could not get it to work properly on the other computer using Windows XP home edition. It kept failing to open certain web pages so in the end I deleted it and went back to using AOL 8 which works fine.
I have since installed SP2 for Windows XP and was wondering if it will be worth trying to install AOL 9 again.
I know a lot of people had similar problems with AOL 9 when it first came out so has anybody now tried again with any success?

AOL has a patch you have to download to make 9 work easier with XP sp2. you should get a pop-up about it once 9 is installed and running.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0

For the benefit of any other AOL users who may of had problems in the past with AOL 9 and Windows XP Home edition I have tried installing AOL 9 again and it appears to be working OK now.
After installing AOL 9 from the CD I got ages ago the first thing I had to do after going on AOL again was download some new files and also update the connectivity service. I think these things have solved the problems I experienced when AOL 9 first came out, as I know several people experienced browsing problems. If you were one, now might be the time to try again.Regards

Yep theres a lot of problems with AOHELL..... but i think more with SP2.... if I were you I would uninstall it (control panel, add/remove programs) then go to windows update and install the separate updates. Don't forget to turn automatic updates off (just set to notify) otherwise it will be straight back on there!!0
