I moved into my flat in August and switched the supply from British Gas to Swalec (who I was with previously) after seeing the prices for British Gas.
Ive had no end of problems with Swalec - as per previous posts on this forum and decided today to have a look online if there was anyone cheaper. I came across a company called First Utility and their Isave tariff is considerably cheaper than what Im on with Swalec eg. 6.55p SC instead of the 14.11p Im currently paying - Ive read they don't exactly have very good reviews.
The other bigger name suppliers Ive found which are cheaper all seem to have cancellation charges - Something I desperately want to avoid as Im not sure how long we'll be living in our rented accommodation.
Ive not had any actual bills since we've moved in though Ive been roughly keeping track of how much we've used and Im considering if it would work out cheaper to go for a No SC tariff?
Ive done a very rough comparison on these sites such as uswitch, but obviously ive estimated our monthly spend so Im not sure how accurate they really are.
Scottish Power are the next ones that come up that do not require a cancellation fee and from what it looks like on the comparison sites are a No SC tariff but I cant seem to find any actual prices.
Any help gratefully appreciated

Most, if not all, don't charge a fee if you cancel the contract due to a house move so don't let that stop you choosing the cheapest option.0

Thanks - I didnt know that, I think that might be something to consider, I was shocked to find Im paying a standing charge of 30p a day for gas...must be able to get that cheaper for sure, my standing charge works out to almost the same cost of the gas Ive actually used!MFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11
