Do you bother reporting someone who uses your photos?

I'm selling a dress and someone else is selling the same dress but in a different colour and she's used my photos.:(

She even says in her listing "I have used pictures of the other colour because I wanted to show the dress in detail" She justifies this by saying her camera is broke(n) but shes selling lots of other items and managed to photograph those ok.

No its because I went to the trouble of taking good photographs and she just couldn't be bothered.

Is it worth the worry, over something which is not a scam. She does after all admit that there is no attempt at deception.

Report her, hopefully ebay will remove her listing.

I'd report anyone who used my photos. It is the one area that ebay seem to act on quite quickly.

This is one thing that really annoys me. I'd report her, afterall she could of asked for your permission first.

I sold a pair of shoes in the past, they had a scuff on the left heel, and I photographed this too.

I noticed somebody had stolen my photo and was trying to sell the same pair of shoes, so reported them to Ebay.

Their listing was removed.

A couple of days later, I received an email saying something along the lines of..... "I know it was you who got my listing removed, (and a few petty little insults etc.)"

Use an outside source for your images, Put a small picture on ebay itself with links to better pictures.

If you find someone using your pictures then, Just edit them. Change the pictures to something funny.

Words i am a scammer would be funny, Or If clothing a sack of rags?

I always report other sellers when they use my photos. I watermark mine before putting a listing up and some people are stupid enough to use them anyway. eBay have always removed the listing and the seller has never come back at me to have a go. Why should you spend time and effort making a good listing and someone else steals your hard work? Report it!
