Car on credit card then transfer to 0% ??

I need to pay a final payment on my car of three years old and thought I could pay for it on one of my credit cards then transfer it to one of my wifes new 0% cards she will take out? After the 12months we will take a loan out for the remianing which will hopefully be down to more than half? Has anyone done this before?
