bit confuzed with fixed rates .
Options
im on the standard british gas tarrif , im wondering whether to go fixed with there oct 2012 £99 a month dual tariff , will they still read the meter and the ammount will build up if i use it willy nilly , or is it £99 a month whatever i use??
im a bit confused
ive been on other tarrif fixed comparison sites ovo is a 12 months from when i start at £84 pm for dual , or edf are fixed till march 2012 for £91 pm for dual
if i finished with bg how long would it take to change , would i get charged for the 7% rates from dec??

Comparing the Direct debits is pretty much pointless, with all of the fixed tariffs its your unit rate thats fixed, not your direct debit.
Put your usage (in kwh) into a comparison site and see what comes out as cheapest fixed deal for you, I can imagine its probably Ovo but it depends on usage and how long you want to fix for..
Dont just go for the one offering you the cheapest direct debit, one of them could set your direct debit at £10, doesnt alter the fact you are using £80 - £100 worth and you will just get in debt.
Also, be wary of any comparison site that quotes direct debit amounts, the DD is set by the supplier NOT the comparison site so I cant see how they can quote an accurate figure..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
OP, this is already answered in your other post, duplicating it will not get you a different answer I'm afraid. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
