Sky Sports on Top Up TV?

Hi,
I would like to get Sky Sports on Top-Up TV as a christmas present for a family member, but not quite sure how it works.
I already have freeview built into my TV, but would I still need to have a 'special' freeview box to work with Top Up TV?
If so, what is the cheapest freeview box which will work with Top-Up-TV? The ones on their website cost £80 upwards !
Thanks in advance!

In a way your probably cheaper just going with sky, you get a free box and you would get all sports channels for same price as topuptv offer.
Atleast thats how i think it works.0 -
You need a CAM slot and module on your TV/Freeview box/PVR to insert the viewing card into. Doesn't have to be the Top-UP TV box.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I suppose if I went with Sky I would also get Sky Sports 3 & 4. Only thing is that Sky would be a 12 month contract  So that would be £588 for a year!!0

I would like to have a sky sports card which I can use at home and take with me when I go away. As far as I can tell this cannot be done.
I FOUND THIS INTERESTING.

It can only be done if you take the box away as well-you need to have the card paired to the box.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Think about it-if you could just move the card around, everyone would pair up and share subscriptions-and that poor Mr Murdoch would soon be out on the streets...No free lunch, and no free laptop
