                    Hi all
Finally my husband and I have made our wills - where would you recommend storing them so they are easily found?
(We live in Berkshire if there's a particularly good company there!)
Many thanks
L-J

            Hi L-J
We made our wills using a local solicitor firm and they stored them for us at no extra charge.
We have copies at home but our sons have the solicitor's details for the secure originals.
They also stored our house deeds fo free, when we finished the mortgage (though technically, you no longer need these if house is registered with Land registery).
You could try googling for cheap secure documentation storage in your area?
 Good luck
 Phil0

With the Probate Office for a one off fee of £15. Safe, secure and easily accessed by the willmaker or executor(s)................. ....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 ....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0

From experience, its logical to keep them with the Solicitor that drew them up. Make sure your family have details of the Solicitor. Document storage is not ideal, as ir coulod be a few days before you can get them back, wheras Solicitors are normally pretty quick in accessing them and can advise on any legal issues as they arise.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

It makes sense to ensure that the executor has a copy particularly if there are instructions about your funeral which may not get read until it is too late. Also if you have signed a power of attorney that is envoked if you become mentally incapable do tell some one where that is before they need it and you are no longer able to tell them0

Hi, If you are in Berkshire, try calling a company called AMS on 0800 783 7079 or visit their website here Document Storage They are great to work with and we use them a LOT for storing wills and all sorts of legal records. They will also be able to offer you some good advice. 0 0

Where there's a will there's a way. Sorry, but someone was bound to say it!I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0

How about a buying fireproof storage box and keeping them in your home.
That way when they're needed whoever is dealing with your estate will be able to shop around for the best deal!
After all we are all supposed to be money saving..........0
