Replacing a boiler with a combi

Does anyone have a rough idea how much it would cost to have a gas fired boiler replaced with a combi? I'm looking at buying a house that has a bolier complete with a water tank thing in the airing cupboard and have no idea what is involved in replacing it with a combi...how big a job it is, costs involved etc. Can anyone shed any light here please?

    VERY roughly about £2500.

Depends where you are, what is invloved in your property and what make/size of combi you want.
  • Good evening: depends on site requirements, the standard of the specification and your location in the UK. Contact RGIs recommended by a source you trust to conduct a site survey, discuss your requirements and quote for the job...in other words...can't tell from here.;)

We've just (September) had this done, and it has made a difference!
We had a Worcester Bosch 28i fitted to replace the old boiler, the hot & cold water tanks removed and wall/floor made good, TRV's fitted to 5 radiators and a new radiator fitted where there wasn't one and a wireless programmer fitted, and old one removed. It took them 2 and a half days and cost £2,470. 3 year guarantee as well. HTH.

Did you keep the immersion heater or was that removed as well?

How big is your house? No of rooms/radiators and number of bathrooms/showerooms?

    Cheers

The immersion heater was removed, along with the hot water tank. All associated pipework also removed.

Just to add, ours is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom terrace cottage with 7 radiators, there were originally 6 radiators but we had another one put in.
