Getting rid of worms and Trojans

Hello
I was surfing the web yesterday when I got a message that said your webpage says your PC is infected by Trojans. I didn't take it too seriously at the time, as often you get these messages and it's just some company trying to get you to sign up to their anti-virus software.
However, as a precaution I ran AntiVir, MSRT and SUPERAntiSpyware. The first two found nothing, but the latter found and removed Trojan agent gen cryptor.
This morning I tried to download escan. Unfortunately to download that removed SUPERAntiSpyware. Even worse when I rebooted to install escan properly my PC would not start up, so I had to start it up in safe mode and uninstall escan.
I then reinstalled SUPERAntiSpyware and it found Worm Mytob variant.
Hopefully SUPERAntiSpyware has removed the Trojan agent and Worm Mytob, but how can I be sure that all worms and Trojans have been removed.
Any advice would be very very gratefully received.
Thank you.

try malwarebytes and avast and ccleaner instead and make sure your windows updates are upto date
don't click on any websites or links that say you are infected, they will infect you!!

I realise people have differing opinions on this dependant on your skill level, but combofix is the answer imo.
3 mins to download, 8 mins to find it, auto reboot, end of problem.0
