Its ironic that I first posted this for a friend on 14th November - my own OH was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer just two weeks ago:(

Just heard that our friends have received Attendance allowance, backdated to mid-October, and that his daughter can claim Carer's Allowance - so that is good news. And he seems to be responding well to chemo - so fingers crossed for him.
We received notification that my OH was entitled to AA on the day he died
