sony rcd-w3 cd recorder

a friend of mine has just got hold of cd recorder model sony rcd-w3, he is having problems recording, he has followed instrictions in manual,anyone having similar problems or has anyone any solution?

Was wondering if you got any help with your Sony CD recorder?

I have just got hold of one myself and after powering up I cannot open either deck I just get the error meassage "error" which refers to there being a problem with the trays, and no more!

Any ideas.

Rob, probably not any help, if the error relates to the trays, which don't eject, perhaps something is blocking them? Just under the center of most dvd drawers there is a small hole, inserting a suitable object, safety clip etc.. into this opening should push the drawers out so you can check.

What kind of problems?

Also, to the second poster - if you bought it new, and it doesn't work, take it back to the shop where you bought it, or send it back.
