I've lost track again on spending

Anyone have any tips on keeping track of what you spend each day

    Thanks

  • Keep all receipts, write down every time you spend money?

Not that I do any of those and I'm way over my budget this week!

Chris, you've almost finished Christmas shopping! I'm impressed! I'm about half way there, and thought that was pretty good going, but you're putting me to shame!

It sounds like I'm much more organised than I actually am - in actual fact, I tend to buy pressies as and when I see them throughout the year, otherwise I would end up giving dodgy last minute pressies!
    Im red this week :(

think I will leave it for a week and come back more money saving after payday which is next week:j

As KC & The Sunshine said "Please don't go"! Keep your chin up - I'm finding loads of forumites are feeling a bit low and struggling with MSE ways at the moment, so don't feel disheartened, keep going with the challenges otherwise you might slip into bad habits and we can't have that! ;)

    I agree with psychopathbabble:
Keep all receipts, write down every time you spend money
... and then at the end of each day, total up your spends and post it on the forum/thread - I find that myself and other forumites feel shamed when having to post a spend, so it really encourages NSDs (No Spend Days) and MSE (Money Saving Expert) ways! :money:

Have a good rest of the week everyone, and enjoy that Friday feeling! friday_smiley.gif

  • Hmm thats a good idea chris, write down in my diary what i spend every day.... but being brutally honest might be difficult!!
