  • As a newbie, I am soooo glad I found this thread. I'm astonished how easy it is not to spend once you get your mind set the right way!

Normal trip to the village shop this morning for ciggies... usually a magazine, biscuits, random groceries (that I don't really need) all 'magic' their way onto the counter.

Today just the ciggies :j even the shop owner seemed surprised & asked if I needed anything else!! :D
I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...

All NSDs so far this week, got dress down on Friday so I'll need a £1 for that, but that should be it for this week!

Managed to resist temptation yesterday so still at £10.95/£10.

Also, got £15 of Amazon vouchers from two survey sites today and I've got a mystery shop lined up for Saturday morning so I might actually make money this week :)

  • Evening all

I have been MIA for the last couple of days but first post has now been updated. Let me know if I have missed anything.

Been a busy couple of days and I have been out too much so I am red already partly due to a large number of £2 coins that have to go in the terramundi but that is not an excuse.:o

    Roll on the weekend:D

    Mortgage-free Glee!
At nearly 50% spent on the budget, out tonight ... in London, not sure if I'll make it. I'll update tomorrow.

Otherwise very pleased as despite being half in my budget, I saved around £140 using only vouchers (trip to France, magazine subscription for DH, item for the kitchen). I used to be terrible when I got vouchers in the past; would get something as soon as it arrives because I have to spend it; nowadays, I think more about what to get, when, do i need it etc etc. MSE!

£55 - I'm finishing off the last of my Christmas shopping today. :T
Chris, you've almost finished Christmas shopping! I'm impressed! I'm about half way there, and thought that was pretty good going, but you're putting me to shame!

Right spends for the week so far:
£2.20 on lunch on Monday (not been orgnised about lunch, have taken to scrounging the the fridge every morning instead of being my usual prepared self!)
£6.50 on cinema ticket - also for Harry Potter

so £8.70 so far and hopefully not too much more this week (NSD today)
    Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAID
    TAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18
