Movie Maker (Windows 7) - captions

Am new to Windows Live Movie Maker. I've seen someone who has included captions in a big "star" within the video. I can't see how on earth to do this. Does anyone know?

(Am wondering ifthey have a different version of Movie Maker?)

    You could use a star as a transition between clips then position the caption within it.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.
