  • For any of you readers looking at the west coast states, there are no 'one-way' charges between California, Nevada and Arizona, some will try it on but the like of CH3000 & netflights don't.

Not entirely true - with CH3000 at least, it depends on who the end contract is with...I made a reservation with them online, emailed them to ask whether there would be a one- way charge...their reply...

"Regarding your email from the 2nd of January we inform you that there is a One Way Fee of 300$ plus tax for your rental through the supplier Thrifty.

We work with different suppliers between these two locations and with some of them the one way rentals between California and Nevada are free of charge. The best deal we can offer you for the 4-door Pontiac G6 with no One Way Fee is 218.29£ with the company called “Dollar”."

So of course I opted to swap to Dollar from Thrify as for an extra £11 I saved $300.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
