Made redundant and pregnant!

Hi, next week I should find out if I'm going to get made redundant, I'll be over 25 weeks when I lave so will get redundant pay plus my maternity pay too. The pay out will pay off all our debts, and we'll just about be able to live off my partners wage.

My question is will I get any other support money wise?

Thanks

  • You would be better posting this on the benefits board.

Were you made redundant and pregnant at the same time? The guy must have been a complete jerk.

I am not sure I understanding why the employer is a jerk. The OP does not yet know if they will be made redundant, but if they are it is because the role is not required whether she is pregnant or not. There are no rules to say you cannot make a pregnant employee redundant.

As you will be getting Maternity pay, the same as if you were still employed I am not sure there are any other benefits you can claim.
