I wonder if they have stored records of current account numbers? That's the best way they could suss I was going for 2nd bite @ the cherry.

Says on their site

When will the cashback show in my account?
Once the transaction is reported to us from the merchant where the purchase was made, the cashback will show in your account. Reporting normally takes from 24 hours to a week or two.

Mines has not tracked yet either, a new window was started within the page simply cash took me to and i always worry when that happens however there was no way to do the application without it starting in a new window... of that makes sense:)

£50 of vouchers and 1000 Nectar points though still makes it a good deal though. Just hope i know to cancel on time, do i have to give them notice?

You just cancel your direct debit. They'll send a letter telling you if you don't reinstate the DD the policy will lapse. That's it ;-)

So simply cancel after the third payment? Or just before the 4th(to ensure i have a valid direct debit in place for 3 months)?
