Laptop help!

Hi everyone. I am looking to get a laptop for my birthday as I will soon be 18! I live in the UK and was wondering what I should get as I am getting confused! I want a laptop that looks nice yet is portable, has a good battery life and can play some decent games at a good speed such as half life 2, counter strike, battlefield 2 and world of warcraft. I also need it for everyday use such as browsing the internet and mundane things such as word processing. Alienware really attracted me with its gorgeous design and high performance although many have slated the M550 here. I suppose I liked the alienware due to its distinctive design and because it stands out from the crowd! Are there any other suggestions? Almost forgot to say that I have up to £1200 but am probably looking to spend more like £6-800. Obviously if I can get what I want for £500 or even less then that would be preferable! Basically price is less of an issue but I want a fast laptop which I can play my games on easily and which looks good if possible! (A final note: Please don't go on about how alienware is !!!!!! etc. I have had enough of that on previous forums! It may be overpriced but it looks good!)

There is a site out on the net that reviews notebooks and there are 100's over notebook owners writing what they think. notebookreview.com and their forums are forum.notebookreview.com you may also like to look into Tablet PCs, also the people who own the notebook review site also does the tablet review site tabletpcreview.com and their forums are at forum.tabletpcreview.com.
These two sites are really good, am a member of both, it works similer to here where everyone can write a review and write anything on the forums and ask other people what they think. Check it out you will find more information there rather then here where some techie people can tell you.0 -
If your mainly interested in the look, although I can't say I've looked at the price or spec myself, but I'd guess it's going to be good for games as aimed at young males is the red ferrarri, I think it's an acer although I'm not sure. I find shopzilla a good price comparison site, so might be worth doing a search by price, there.0
