Cold radiator

Hi
We had a new boiler installed last March (Main Eco Combi) and are enjoying decent central heating at last!
The problem is that one of the upstairs radiators isn't working. We have bled it (no air came out) and removed the TRV (pin seems to be working fine). We thought it might be an airlock so wanted to turn all radiators off apart from the faulty one but we are unable to turn off two of our radiators. One has a TRV fitted (again pin seems to be fine) the other is in the room with the wall room thermostat so no TRV but no obvious way to turn it off. We removed the cap on the right hand side of the radiator and it revealed a brass pin (not a lock shield) we assume that the wrong cap has been fitted and we should be able to just turn this off. After turning it clockwise with the spanner it remains on.
An additional problem is that the plumber that did the work has subsequently passed away and we are not sure where we stand with our guarantee (of the work rather than the equipment)
Any help and advice gratefully received!!!
Thanks

Sadly as the plumber has passed away, I cannot see how you can have any warranty left on his work, unless he was part of an insurance backed scheme, which is highly unlikely.
Have you checked the locksheild valve is open on this particular radiator?
Turn all the others off, by the locksheilds if necessary and try again.0 -
Thanks so much for the replies....
....the 2 pipes to and from the radiator get "warm" but the radiator is stone cold top and bottom.
We will have a go this afternoon following the advice and let you know how we get on.
thanks again
